Seagate and Los Alamos National Laboratory collaborate on storage-near computing:

Seagate Technology Holdings plc (NASDAQ: STX) and Seagate Federal, Inc. (dba. Seagate Government Solutions) and LANL have signed a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) to jointly explore the development of efficient computing near storage, especially in environments where erasure encryption is necessary for data protection.
