Milan renewal ‘not a problem’ but Giroud must decide himself

Olivier Giroud certainly showed off his class at the World Cup and in spite of the loss in the final, he will return to AC Milan with great confidence. As a result of his success, the Rossoneri are also working on a renewal.

Giroud found the back of the net four times for France at the World Cup and he thus proved that he’s still a great striker at 36 years old. And for Milan, he has scored nine goals and assisted an additional five this season.

According to Sky Italia, Milan want to keep the striker but the decision will ultimately come down to the player himself. Should he decide to stay in Italy, then the renewal certainly won’t be a problem.

This update comes as a few rumors suggested that Milan’s contract offer was too low, thus forcing Giroud to reevaluate the situation. The rumors have no valid basis, though, as the negotiations are at a great place currently.
