BTS Jimin Drops ‘Set Me Free Pt. 2’ music video

Jimin lives art and his latest music video is here to prove it. Before the release of his solo debut album Face On March 24, he has dropped his visual for “Set Me Free Pt.2”. The video features Cardi B’s BTS illusion dancing with Rainer Maria Rilke’s German poem “Ich lebe mein leben in wachsenden ringen” (English for “I live my life in widening circles”) printed on her chest. This written choice goes well with the circular cover photo for the upcoming album, as well as a concept teaser called “Circle of Resonance”, which read: “Waves originate from the deepest invisible inner world, travel through the faces on the surface and reach out to others to resonate while transmitting the inner voice.”

Jimin confirmed earlier Consequence that his pre-release title is a nod to “Set Me Free” on BTS member Suga’s mixtape D-2. “There’s no connection and we didn’t try to share the first part or two,” he explained. “But since it turns out that my song is about freedom and moving forward, and Suga’s song tells some stories that have come before, I thought it would be good to come after.” Jimin’s new song sure feels really free considering he sings lyrics like “I never stop, fk all your opps / Finally free” and “Hey fool, just get out of my way / Shut up, fk off.” Now that’s what you call without “filter”.
