Police say a driver crashed into McKay’s early Sunday morning

A bookstore is damaged after a driver crashed into the business. Greensboro Police say around 3:30 am on Sunday, a driver crashed into McKay’s on 1607 Battleground Ave. They say a large window, about 25 feet long and 10 feet tall, was broken, and several bookshelves were pushed over. McKay’s shared this photo of the damage. The driver’s condition is unclear, but police said they were treated by Guilford EMS at the scene. Police did not say what may have caused the crash or if the driver will face any charges. In a Facebook post , McKay’s says the store will be open from 12-7 pm on Monday, but will not be able to accept items.
